Scientific Writer

Applications are invited for a scientific writer at Hemalytic Inc.  Hemalytic Inc is a research and data management company incorporated in Ontario, Canada, specifically catering to the needs of the bleeding disorder community.  We work closely with leading experts from McMaster University and other stakeholders in the bleeding disorder community to provide high quality retrospective and registry-based studies as well as knowledge translation initiatives.  In addition, the company is also engaged in supporting development and implementation of information technology tools for clinicians and Hemophiliacs.  More information about the company can be found here Hemalytic.

We are seeking a highly qualified individual who would work under the direct supervision of the scientific leadership of the company in creating research protocols and writing manuscripts for peer reviewed publications, abstracts, conference papers and presentations for various projects.

 An ideal candidate would be an experienced clinical epidemiologist or related domain expert with clinical orientation who has recently completed their Ph.D. and have training in or a strong interest in evidence-based medicine.  We will also consider applications from Ph.D.’s in biomedical sciences if they can demonstrate competency in job requirements.  Direct experience working with projects in hemophilia and or hematology is desirable but not mandatory.  The individual should posses strong and precise writing skills in English and preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate prior experience in writing protocols and manuscripts.

The individual will work as an independent contractor associated with specific projects.  The job can be fulfilled online via remote working and has no rigid requirements of physical presence in the company’s premises but the candidate may at times be required to attend in person meetings if required in addition to regular e-meetings with the leadership team.
