Quality Data | Improved Care
Hemalytic Inc is a research and data management company incorporated in Ontario, Canada, specifically catering to the needs of the bleeding disorder community.
Our objective is quite simple, to improve the health of people with bleeding disorders by enhancing the quality of information that is documented. If one of the fundamental objectives of health care is to better the quality of life for those suffering from hemophilia than we need to apply all of our available tools. We can record, measure, and review, all of one's activities, but to be truly effective, it must be comprehensive, complete, accurate, up to date and available to the research community.
To this end, Hemalytic encourages and supports data quality initiatives designed to achieve our objective of Quality Data | Improved Care. We reach out to individual HTC's and design solutions tailored to the requirements of each local centre. Hemalytic creates an efficient, collaborative way of engaging treatment centers within a flexible contractual framework. With this plan we aim to substantially improve the "ease of doing research" and all the while making sure researchers, institutions, funders and ultimately the patients benefit.
In the development of better care, Hemalytic has sponsored a growing list of devices that bring the patient and care giver closer together. Along with our medical experts and our IT developers, we have introduced (1) Calibra, a clinician orientated tool designed to calculate and verify the proper medication dosages of Hemlibra, (2) the myWAPPS Dashboard, which provides a Doctor oriented interface to explore and review the information collected via myWAPPS, and (3) myWAPPS II, the updated patient app for the WAPPS-Hemo and MPPK platforms. It is currently under development and will be released soon and most importantly, it promises a number of robust features and upgrades.
Finally, Hemalytic works closely with the professionals at McMaster University, in Hamilton Ontario, Canada to provide high quality retrospective and registry-based studies. We provide independent project management, coordinate all study related activities, provide the financial management of the project, and offer assistance to the HTC’s where needed. We utilize the data sources of WAPPS-Hemo (PK’s), the Canadian Bleeding Disorder Registry (CBDR), and the Patient Reported Outcomes, Burdens, and Experiences (PROBE) to compile comprehensive and meaningful study results.
